Special conditions
1. Purpose and Scope
As a volunteer or supporter of Embrace Abilities, your role is to assist with the organization’s events and initiatives, supporting families and children with special needs. By signing this agreement, you acknowledge your responsibility to act ethically, maintain confidentiality, and uphold the values of Embrace Abilities.
2. Confidentiality Agreement
As a volunteer or supporter, you may have access to sensitive information, including but not limited to personal details about children and families, medical conditions, and organizational plans. You agree to the following:
- You will not disclose any confidential information shared with you in the course of your volunteer activities to any unauthorized persons, both during your time with Embrace Abilities and after your involvement ends.
- You will not share or discuss the personal information of any families or children you come into contact with through Embrace Abilities outside of the organization or on public platforms.
- You will refrain from making any posts, comments, or public statements about specific individuals or families involved with Embrace Abilities unless you have obtained explicit permission.
3. Ethical Conduct
Volunteers and supporters are expected to adhere to the highest standards of ethical behavior, including:
- Treating all children, families, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect, compassion, and inclusivity.
- Maintaining professionalism at all times during events and activities.
- Respecting the diverse backgrounds, needs, and abilities of the children and families involved in Embrace Abilities.
- Refraining from any form of discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior.
4. Conflict of Interest
You agree to disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including relationships with other organizations, businesses, or individuals that may influence your role within Embrace Abilities. Volunteers are prohibited from using their role for personal gain or soliciting families for outside services.
5. Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
- All materials, ideas, and strategies shared with you by Embrace Abilities for the purpose of events or activities are proprietary and confidential. You agree not to use, share, or disclose these materials for personal or outside purposes.
- You will not speak on behalf of Embrace Abilities to external organizations, media, or in public forums without prior written permission from the Board of Directors.
6. Social Media Policy
- Volunteers must refrain from sharing photos or personal information about children or families at Embrace Abilities events on social media without written consent from the organization and the families involved.
- Any representation of Embrace Abilities on social media should reflect the values and mission of the organization, avoiding posts that could be interpreted as harmful, exploitative, or inappropriate.
7. Termination of Volunteer Agreement
- Embrace Abilities reserves the right to terminate your role as a volunteer or supporter if you fail to uphold these terms and conditions.
- Any breach of confidentiality or ethical misconduct will result in immediate termination and potential legal action where applicable.
8. Legal and Liability Waiver
By agreeing to these terms, you waive any claim against Embrace Abilities for personal injury or loss during your participation in volunteer activities, understanding that your role is voluntary and unpaid.
